Top Box Office Movies of 2010,

In 2010, talking toys, mad hatters and super-armored comic book heroes dominated the box office, with moviegoers ringing up over $10 billion in ticket sales. Here are the top ten highest grossing films at the domestic box office this year.
A prime example of movies with production budgets getting way out of hand is TANGLED which Box Office mojo has listed with a $260million budget. Yeah you read that right!
So with that all said and out of the way lets take a look at the biggest box office movies of 2010.

10. THE KARATE KID Total Gross: $176,591,618
Directed by Harald Zwart. Starring Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan, Taraji P. Henson. Work causes a single mother to move to China with her young son; in his new home, the boy embraces kung fu, taught to him by a master. Not only did it land at #10 on the Box office for 2010 it also has spawned a sequel which the production team is reportedly hashing out now.

9. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON Total Gross: $217,581,231
Directed by Dean DeBlois, Chris Sanders. Starring Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson. A hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, 2010 computer-animated fantasy film by DreamWorks Animation.

8. SHREK FOREVER AFTER Total Gross: $238,395,990
Directed by Mike Mitchell. Starring Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz. Rumpelstiltskin tricks a mid-life crisis burdened Shrek into allowing himself to be erased from existence, animated fantasy-comedy 2010 film, and it is the fourth and final installment in the Shrek movie.

7. DESPICABLE ME Total Gross: $250,588,005
Directed by Pierre Coffin, Chris Renaud. Starring Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand. When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds himself profoundly changed by the growing love, this film is American computer-animated 3D comedy film from Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.

6. HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 1 Total Gross: $274,392,000 (and counting)
Directed by David Yates. Starring Bill Nighy, Emma Watson, Richard Griffiths. As Harry races against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, he uncovers the existence of three most powerful objects in the wizarding, a two-part film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Directed by Christopher Nolan. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, american science fiction and psychological thriller.

4. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE Total Gross: $300,531,751 Directed by David Slade. Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner. 2010 American romantic vampire film based on Stephenie Meyer's 2007 novel, Eclipse. The score for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was composed by Howard Shore, who composed the scores for such films as The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Aviator.

Directed by Lee Unkrich. Starring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack. The toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, Toy Story 3 is a 2010 American 3D computer-animated film.
