The Russian Type 65, a 65-cm (25.5-in) diameter torpedo, carries a warhead of 450 kg (992 lb) of conventional explosive, or a 15-kiloton nuclear warhead - giving it slightly less explosive power than the bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
